Sooo...What do you do when you feel like you want to make a change in the world around you..
Do you start up feeling motivated and empowered and then have difficulty staying highly motivated  or perhaps finding a CAUSE that matters to you.. 

Well, there is a way of becoming and staying highly motivated for something we want to change, improve or achieve whatever we are searching for.... Here are  5 steps you can take in order to become highly motivated...and Create Time in Your Life for the Life You Desire....




 C A R E S  

 Conviction

Conviction is a firm belief of what you want to do. A firm belief gives you the courage to move towards your goals. Ask yourself what are your goals.. How does this goal match with your CAUSE s  goals? Believe in the CAUSE s goals if you are to become highly motivated.. Align these goals to your career goals and you begin to see more meaning in what you do.

Attitude

Attitude is a your way of thinking and behaving towards your life. In whatever tasks assigned to you, approach it with a positive attitude.This  means doing each task with pride, passion and belief. Give the task assigned to you; your best shot no matter how menial. When you approach work with a positive attitude you begin to become highly motivated for your CAUSE. 

Respect
Respect is a feeling of admiration for people’s good qualities or achievements. Far too often young people new to work do not give enough respect to their supervisors and colleagues. This is especially when they do not thoroughly understand each other’s role. 

If you want others to respect you, you must start respecting yourself. Understand your own roles in the organization. Each person’s roles contribute to the greater objective of the CAUSE. If you look down upon your own job, then you wouldn’t appreciate what you are doing. People will start to lose respect for you when you do not even respect yourself.

Respect others in your organization. Each and everyone in the organization deserve your respect. They each have their role to play and each contributes to the bigger objectives organization. Learn to see the good qualities in others that deserve your respect.

Empathy

Empathy is the ability to imagine and share another person’s feelings and experience. In our work, we are bound to meet with colleagues who are uncooperative or clients who are unreasonable. In such cases, you would feel demotivated. To overcome this, learn to empathize with that person. Understand why such requests are being made.

Sincere

Sincerity is saying and doing only things that one really means or believes. When we do the work that has been given to us, do it sincerely and joyfully. When someone has helped us in the course of our work or have made a certain task more manageable thank them sincerely. That way you begin to see that the CAUSE isn’t that insurmountable and you begin to become highly motivated for your CAUSE.

Sooo... In a nutshell... one who CARES enough, becomes highly motivated for their CAUSE...

Create Time For Your LIFE PLAN!

Have you written a business plan before? Perhaps-you've written a travel itinerary? Or perhaps you have planned a big event in your life like a 21st birthday party or a wedding? Maybe you think just keeping a diary is all you need to plan your time! 

Well may I suggest that as well as the above.... We all need a Create Time For Our Life-Plan!! 

... If you want to create the kind of life that surpasses your craziest expectations then creating a life plan is the only way to success!! 

Get to know yourself 

Make a point of finding out your strengths and weaknesses, your core values and your beliefs...



What is your vision?

You've got to plan the route you're going to take or you may just find yourself going round in a big circle back to square one! 

Soooo...... Create Time For Your Life and think about what inspires you...about how you can help the world....be it designing something, mentoring people or using your marketing skills to help businesses... lets face it...every kind of career actually helps someone somewhere at some point down the line.... 

Create an empowering vision statement..This vision is the very heart of what you want to accomplish.. Where do you see yourself in six months, six years or even 16 years? Be brave and bold!!! Make a decision on how you want your life to map out! 

Is Your Cup Half Full or Half Empty? 

Do you see obstacles as huge problems to getting what you want or are you able to view them as challenges that you can enjoy overcoming? Make a promise to develop an optimistic mentality that everything has a solution! 

As you are creating your Life Plan, make sure you acknowledge that there will be challenges along the way and commit to facing them with good humour, good faith and nerves of steel!! 

Set Your Targets 

 Just like in a business plan ,you have to set targets. In order to achieve the things you want from life, you need daily, weekly and monthly targets...  But unlike in business, these targets should cover all aspects of your life.....your mind...your body and your soul

When you are Creating Time For Your Life-Plan , do so with confidence and passion but keep in mind that you are aiming to keep a balance in your life.. Try to avoid letting any one area consume you! Remember that in order to perform at your very best, you need to take time for rest and rejuvenation.... 

Therefore...when you write your goals, not only focus on what you will do to pursue your passions and your visions but think about how you will tend to your health, both physical and mental

Teamwork... 

 In order to Create Time For Your Purpose-Driven Vision of Your Life.....,acknowledge that this can’t be done alone.  You need to reach out to the the world around you.  Leaders have the ability to inspire great things from those around them and part of a good life plan will include who you want to spend your time with and how you will inspire them.   For each element of your plan, you will need to attract a certain person, or group of people; They will help you take your vision to the next level. 

Evaluate 

 A great life plan, just like a great business plan, will have built-in evaluation processes.  How will you know if you are on the right track to fulfilling your vision, if you don’t take time to stop and reflect on what you have accomplished? 

 Celebrate the successes along the way and make sure that you are always keeping on track to your ultimate plan! 

 Create Time For Your Life now and use these tools to create a plan for your life. Only when it is written out will you be on your way to creating life the way you always dreamed of!!!

Have You Forgotten How Wise You Were as a Baby?


A friend has just had a baby daughter....another has one on the way...Visiting the new born last week with my own grown up daughter....It made me think again about the whole baby experience once more!!  
Don t you agree we can all learn from little babies.....when a new baby comes into your life...whether it s your own, or the child of  a relative or a friend....there is no doubt that it tugs at the strings of  our emotions and feelings...However , if we look at babies objectively, I think you will see that babies can also be a source of great inspiration..  Actually....they can be a great source of motivation  to us if we watch them carefully.
Soooo... what observations did I make?
Happiness
Just look at the care free activities of a baby.  A baby gets right into its own little world of happiness.  That s because they are so full of innocence!!  Adults on the other hand overload themselves with knowledge and information......
Do you think it s possible to switch off the antenna for a while and just experience happiness in innocent ways....
Thirst for Knowledge
Babies are fascinated by everything....they are desperate to understand how things work and explore their small world around them.  They can interpret lip movements, learn languages and understand mannerisms...all this at weeks old...
Don't you agree that we as adults could do with digging up some of that natural curiosity...let s face it...we still have all the necessary tools within ourselves to learn more about our world...to learn new languages and to learn new skills.
Live life in the Now!
A baby doesn't worry about  yesterday or plan for tomorrow..  So why when we grow up do we get caught up in our past and worry about our future? 

Soo....Make the most of today!!
Try, Try and Try Again!!
A young baby will try to crawl..However, when it fails the first time, does it give up and get back in the pram?  No! It keeps going until it succeeds.The same with learning to stand and finally learning to walk.  They might cry for help but they keep on going...and oh the sense of achievement you can see in their eyes when they finally succeed!!
So no more running away from challenges! No more looking for  the easy option all the time!  Get inspired and realize your goals by try, try and trying again!!.
Forgive and Forget
A baby never harbors any resentment...If you show them impatience due to lack of sleep...Do they turn their back on you and not communicate for a few days? No!  The next time you are feeding them at four in the morning they are smiling at you full of love and adoration!!
Get back that great baby love!!  Have an open heart.  Consciously ignore minor mistakes of others and give them a chance to correct and excel!!  Wouldn't you agree that when we help others grow, we grow even more? 
Have Trust!
Babies are 100% trusting...They are  fearless; they know that you are always there for them.. When you throw them up in the air for play, they laugh instead of crying. 
So.....if you trust someone, make it 100%. No half way measures!! Complete trust creates wonderful and long lasting relationships. 
 Where s that belly laugh gone?
Get inspiration from babies from the way they laugh when they  feel great. They laugh from  their heart.
 Soooo.......Look for the funny side in everything....and laugh and relieve stress!
 Unconditional love 
A baby loves its parents unconditionally.........
Sooo... when that little baby reaches its teenage years....... remind yourself of the example it set you and follow its lead!!

Everyone needs a little nudge along the way.....



Ever;y day we have to make decisions....we normally dont take these decisions lightly because we are afraid.......afraid of failing, afraid of letting go of the ones we love, or afraid of moving  forwards, losing the safety  of what and where we know....

In your own life situation...let s call it  LIFE SIT 1, .....you know deep down you have to take action to make this the year your life changes for the better.....

Sooo......you make the choice to  take the leap....and guess what..... your career skyrockets, you live out your passions, your relationships become more fulfilling and all in all you find yourself wealthier, happier and healthier than ever before....

However what if in the same situation...Let s call it LIFE SIT 2,,,,,you  do nothing...and this year passes with the usual roller coaster of ups and downs, failures and successes...You go through the same old routines and you stay the same person you have always been....with the same shortcomingsflaws and unfulfilled dreams..

Failed to Reach Your Goals in the Past...TRY THIS!!



How many times have you set yourself a target in the past and then not got there.....given up half way down the line and stayed stuck in the old routine....maybe you cringe now at the thought of trying again..?. 

Well this time it will be different because this time you are not going to try!! This time you are going to do!!  There is a big difference!!
For example....try right now to jump two feet in the air...well did you....this time  really try!   You see it makes a real difference when you try and when you actually  do.....Trying  gets you nowhere....doing gets you where you want to be!!

Sooo.....Ask yourself this...
Do you start things because you think you should or ought to or have to..?
Well if that s the case.....then you need to bin these ideas....
You need to replace them with  I want, I desire, I am, I aspre to, I would like to..
Sooo... if you really want to do something, lets looks at what has stopped you in the past when you have tried..
Look at the example below and change it for  your own suggestions...
My goal is.....
To change my career
What do you want this goal for ?.... i.e.  What will it give you...
It will give me more money, a sense of purpose, a better life:work ratio
What has stopped you from achieving this so far?
I’ve been too busy at work..I ve not explored the options....i dont know where to start.
What has stopped you doing things to help you achieve it?
Scared of change, fear of failure, lack of confidence, lack of research, lack of motivation
What do you need to focus on in order to achieve this goal?
Improve my confidence..list my strengths and abilities. take some small starts to start to make the change..research other career options to see what appeals.
Are you committed to doing this?
Yes!!
Hurray!


Remember this.....If a goal is not written down...it is actually only a wish, a hope or a want.. it s not a real goal!!
Sooo. what can you do today to get started...
1..  Write down a very short term goal
     Something you want to do tomorrow or the next day
2...Include the date you want to achieve this goal by.
3....Now write down the steps you need to take in order to achieve your goal.
For Instance
My goal is to organise an event next friday...
Steps to reach this goal..
1.. Check my diary to make sure i have nothing else arranged
2....Decide where the event is to be and at what time..
3....Decide who is to be there and what is going to happen
4..  Send out the invitations to the event
5....Organise what will happen at the event
6..  Hold the event
GOAL ACHIEVED.... its simple isnt it...And this can be done for ANYTHING in your life!!
Soooo start your pro active goal list now..
1... Know what you want!!
2... Start each goal with the words My Goal is to.....
3....Be as specific and clear as possible...give an in depth description....ie.  if you want to make more money.....your goal should be more along the lines of ...I want to be debt free and to have 300,000 in the bank!!
4...Wherever possible state your goal in positive terms....i.e. say what you DO want not what you DONT want!!
5...Make sure you REALLY WANT this goal!!
6..Remember goals must be FLEXIBLE and their TARGET DATES also...this way you wont beat yourself up when plans change...

Sooooo....  COME...ON.. What you waiting for.....START NOW!!

 Well in actual fact, it really doesn’t matter WHAT you do when you feel afraid...because......

 Your RESISTANCE Only Serves To BUILD On Fear’s PERSISTANCE!


 Sooo.....Let me explain by asking you one quick question...

 

Have you ever REALLY thought about what it costs you to play all these little cat and mouse games with fear? 

(I’m not talking about the fear of heights, clowns, small spaces, spiders or other phobias which although they’re all VERY real.... these are NOT the fears that keep you from the life your heart knows you deserve!)

 The fears I’m talking about, are every day little worries that creep up on you.

At first they seem harmless. Then they keep coming and coming. 

Soon it's a full on ASSAULT - stalking you CONSTANTLY - minute by minute, day by day, slowly hijacking your life!

The problem is - you dont even realise it's even happening..

Until..... it's too late... And you end up with FEAR as Your Constant Companion !
 It doesn’t matter if you choose to avoid, ignore, deny or fight your fear - it’s still there with you EVERY single day... whether you know it or not!

SOOOO.......Don't you think it's become a little too easy for you to blame your problems on YOURSELF?

By this I mean saying to yourself things like...

I can't get a new job because I am "UNMOTIVATED".


I can't lose that last stone because "I AM EXHAUSTED”
 

I can't find the courage to go on a date because "I AM TOO SHY".
Or maybe you're even are harder on yourself with thoughts like "I'M DEPRESSED", "I'M LAZY" or "THAT S JUST NOT ME!! ”

And guess what - it's COMPLETE AND UTTER RUBBISH!!! 

But more than that......

It's TRAGIC...



Yes - it's a complete TRAGEDY that you believe any of this NONSENSE about you! 



As if the REAL you could EVER be anything but AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!

 


FEAR is nothing more than a BULLY holding your happiness in a tight grip

 Soooooo......dont let it CONTROL you every single day..

Have you ever wanted something so BADLY you would've SWAPPED almost anything to have it, then all of a sudden, for no reason, it gets TAKEN AWAY FROM YOU!!

Devastated by DEFEAT you don't even really hear the tiny voice of fear whisper quietly, "I told you so! This is what happens when you put yourself out there. You know you aren't GOOD enough and don't DESERVE these type of things - why do you EVEN try?"

Meanwhile you barely notice DEPRESSION and ANXIETY sneaking up on you.....

 Or....have you ever been so afraid to be ALONE that you stayed in an emotionally abusive relationship - dying to leave but terrified you'll never find someone who will really love you...

 Do you sometimes feel like you're trapped in a HOLE you can't dig yourself out of every time you stress out on how to make ends meet this month? As the pounds disappear from your bank account, your CONFIDENCE crumbles!

 Well....take note.....

YOU Are NOT Your Fear!!

 The truth is you're LYING to yourself if you see you as anything but AMAZING!!



 Soooo.....If you can't see the TRUTH of who you are, you MUST change your filter NOW!

Before it's too late...

Before your dreams disappear...



Soooo.....Before you GIVE up, calling yourself nothing but a lost cause - you must know the truth!

....

You don't have to "FIGHT" fear - because...there’s NOTHING to “BEAT”...

.

All you need to do is learn to play the game with a different set of rules starting with knowing fear is NOT a filter for truth - it's only a pathway to CHANGE.

Fear can actually HELP you as long as you know how to separate WHO you are from WHAT you're feeling - they are NOT the same thing! 



To do this, you must step up by OPENING your eyes.

And you must start actively PARTICIPATING in your life.

Because if you dont, you will continue to let your fear define, defeat or even worse CONTROL you...


Soooooo......What if you could see your fear as nothing more than a mind supported global positioning system (GPS) like you use in your car?

 

Now let's pretend this GPS system is PERSONALIZED with your BELIEFS and VALUES - giving you the best navigation system EVER built - for your LIFE!!.

 (Wouldnt that be great!!) 

Well guess what?...that's all FEAR IS SUPPOSED TO BE - your PERSONAL GPS!

Feelings of fear are actually designed to HELP you - to steer you back on track.

Fear is simply trying to say...... " This is important! Are you really UP to this because I don't know where you're going all of a sudden - I'm not sure we can DO this. Maybe we should turn around and go home?" 



It begins a CAMPAIGN designed to CONVINCE you by REMINDING you of all the times you've FAILED in the PAST because you weren't good enough. 
And what do we do??? We believe it! 
We
actually let fear terrorise our minds into thinking we should swim back SAFELY to shore - to the SAFETY of what we know. 

 But there's only one problem...

Your current beach front property isnt working out for you is it? 

(Which is probably why you were trying a new approach in the first place.)



So there you are ...... trying to make a change while fear is SCREAMING in your face, "No change! CHANGE is SCARY!! I'm not sure we can handle change! "



Your mind grabs onto this fear frequency - not sure if it's up to the task -and it uses your FEAR to talk you into going back to the "comfort" zone.

You see the STRANGE thing is that our mind doesn't care if staying put means you'll continue to be alone, broke or despondent! 

(Especially if your belief system says that's what you deserve.).

It just wants to do what's EASY.

TRY and 

think about it like this...

Have you ever used a GPS to get you to your destination and left the planned route because there's an accident or just bad traffic?

 As the GPS voice harps at you to make a u-turn back to the guided route, do you do it? 

No. You're CONFIDENT in your choice.

Find Out How Happy You Are! Answer these questions........

Sooooo......Decide to see things DIFFERENTLY.

Don’t worry about HOW to forgive, instead CHOOSE to be a forgiving person!

DO YOU FIND CLEANING A CHORE AND A BORE?? (gentlemen this is for you TOO!!)

Wouldn´t you agree that everyone would rather do ANYTHING at all EXCEPT clean the house!! Time spent cleaning feels like time WASTED that could be used doing something MORE fun.!! When cleaning is viewed as a CHORE AND A BORE - instead of as an ASPECT of family life, the person stuck with cleaning can end up feeling imprisoned!!

Soooo.. Why not CREATE TIME FOR YOUR LIFE .. and spend some time deciding what you HATE about cleaning and then use these tips to EMBRACE housecleaning as something that can become a good HABIT!

Cleaning supplies!

Keep a LARGE supply of QUALITY cleaning solutions that work well and can be used CONSISTENTLY. Purchase sponges, cloths, brushes, dusters, and a vacuum cleaner that are sturdy and will last for years. Buying good QUALITY supplies will get rid of one FRUSTRATING aspect of cleaning the house.

Storage

Designate certain areas for items that are used MOST OFTEN. When EVERY item has its proper place, cleaning is EASIER and the home appears to be well-maintained. Teach the children (AND YOUR PARTNER FOR THAT MATTER!) where their toys, books, and clothes MUST be kept and ENCOURAGE them to participate in putting things away.

Bite-sized tasks

One major reason cited for not cleaning the house is the THOUGHT of the OVERWHELMING tasks that must be completed. Sooo....break down EVERY task into manageable steps that can be completed in smaller increments of time. When other MORE APPEALING activities must be postponed to clean the house, it´s the CLEANING which will be delayed and go unfinished!!

Daily routine

Tidy up the area near the television as FAMILY activity at the end of each day.!! When everyone takes their OWN belongings out of the room and puts them away, the room is ready for the next use. Working TOGETHER to clean this room will build POSTIVE maintenance habits that will spread to other areas of the house.

Final task of each activity

At the end of a meal, clean up the kitchen so that the area is clean for the next use. Whenever a CRAFT project is completed, clean the area and put everything away. At the end of EACH day, hang up jackets, put away toys, and throw away the junk that is lying around DONT HOARD THINGS!!. The house will appear clean in the morning as the family is getting ready to greet the day.

Weekly routine

Designate one or two hours EACH day to completing some tasks. Instead of using ALL of Saturday to complete the cleaning, set up a cleaning SCHEDULE where each room is cleaned every week. Choose a day to address each child’s room. Designate another day to clean the bathrooms.. When small areas receive attention EACH day, the ENTIRE house will be cleaned each week without using weekend time.

Help from others

Some MAJOR tasks require help from family members and others require some PROFESSIONAL cleaning assistance. Hire someone to clean the carpet throughout the home or at least hire a MACHINE!! Designate two Saturdays each year to clean and straighten the garage and then throw a party at the end of the day to reward everyone.(preferably in the garden!!)

Incremental progress

Initial efforts to establish a cleaning schedule will be probably be met with some RESISTANCE, but each SUCCESSIVE week of cleaning WILL result in progress. PERSEVERE with the new schedule and notice that each week the chores are taking less time. As you notice areas that need improved, the house will become cleaner with less effort.

Fun is required!

Listen to your favourite music, an audio book, or a great radio program while completing the cleaning chores. Passing the time while listening to some music will help EVERYONE to remember that cleaning CAN be seasoned with FUN!

No Excuses!

RESIST the urge to let yourself avoid the cleaning chores for even ONE day. The life of a family is greatly IMPROVED when the house is not cluttered and dirty. PROCRASTINATION only causes stress!! Break down each chore and decide to spend some time EVERY day working through the clutter and cleaning at least ONE area. When EVERY family member participates in cleaning the house, each person becomes more AWARE of the EFFORT required to manage the home.

BATTLES over putting everything away will be eliminated when cleaning takes less time each week. TODDLERS learn quickly and what do TODDLERS turn into? They turn into CHILDREN who will realise that keeping their own belongings put away will result in LESS time to clean their rooms later. Giving the CHILDREN a good example of maintaining a clean home will HELP THEM and YOU when they become TEENAGERS and they WILL understand later that you have given them a lifelong gift which they will appreciate as adults!!!

Sooooo... What are you waiting for? WRITE YOUR SCHEDULE, TURN UP THE MUSIC AND GET CRACKING!!!

IT´s NEVER too late!!! (and teenagers can always be BRIBED!!)

Drop your Fears by ACTING AS IF you have NO Fear!!

Would you agree that all of our worries and fears are actually LEARNT!!

We are not born with fears. Sooo...our fears can therefore be UNLEARNT by practicing self discipline repeatedly with regard to fear until it basically just goes away!!

Some of the most common fears that we experience, which often sabotage all hope for success, are the fears of: FAILURE, POVERTY, LOSS OF MONEY, LOSS OF LOVE, LOSS OF JOBS, FEAR OF EMBARASSMENT or RIDICULE. In fact some people fear REJECTION and CRITICISM of any kind.. some of us can fear the loss of RESPECT or ESTEEM of others.. These fears cause AVOIDANCE of risk of any kind and rejection of OPPORTUNITY when it is presents itself!

How many people do you know that are so afraid of failure that they are almost paralyzed when it comes to taking any chances at all?!

BEING FEARFUL CAN PREVENT YOU FROM TAKING ACTION

The most common reaction in a fear situation is the attitude of, “I can’t!” This is the fear of failure and loss that stops us from taking action. These are many physical results of the inhibitive habit , which we can ALL experience from time to time. Whenever a person is in the grip of fear, he feels like a deer caught in the headlights of a car. This fear paralyzes action. It often shuts down the brain and causes the individual to revert to the “fight-or-flight” reaction. 

Fear is a TERRIBLE emotion that undermines our happiness and can hold us back throughout our lives.

Soooo.. WHAT TO DO?

TRY VISUALIZING YOURSELF AS UNAFRAID!!

By VISUALIZING yourself performing with confidence and competence in an area where you are nervous oR afraid, your VISUAL image will eventually be accepted by your SUB CONSCIENCE mind as instructions for your performance.

Sooo .. the way you see yourself and think about yourself, is eventually ALTERED by feeding your mind these POSITIVE mental pictures of yourself performing at your BEST. By using the “act as if” method, you walk, talk, and carry yourself EXACTLY as you would if you were completely FEARLESS in a particular situation. You stand up straight, smile, move quickly and confidently, and in every respect ACT AS IF you already had the courage that you desire.

Think about this......“if you FEEL a certain way, you will ACT in a manner consistent with that feeling.”  But if you ACT in a manner consistent with the FEELING you woul prefer to feel, even if you don’t actually FEEL it, then it is likely that you will CREATE the feeling that is consistent with your actions! In other words...You develop the courage you want by disciplining yourself repeatedly to do the thing you fear until that fear eventually disappears—and it will.

Sooo.. FACE YOUR FEARS

Your ability to confront, deal with, and act IN SPITE OF YOUR FEARS OR WORRIES, is the key to happiness and success. One of the best exercises you can practice is to identify a person or situation in your life of which you are afraid and resolve to deal with that fear situation immediately.

Don´t let it make you unhappy for another minute. Resolve to confront the situation or person and drop the fear!

MOVE TOWARDS THE FEAR

When you identify a fear and discipline yourself to move TOWARDS it, it grows smaller and more manageable. What’s more, as your fears grow smaller, your CONFIDENCE grows.  Soon, your fears lose their CONTROL over YOU. On the other hand, when you back away from a fear-inducing situation or person, your fear grows larger and larger.  Soon it can DOMINATE your thinking and feeling, preoccupy you during the day, and often keep you awake at night.

DEAL WITH THE FEAR DIRECTLY

Soooo.....the only way to deal with a fear is to address it head-on.

Remind yourself that “denial” is not a river in Egypt!

The natural tendency of many of us, is to DENY that we have a problem caused by fear of some kind.  We´re afraid of confronting it. In turn, it becomes a major source of stress, unhappiness, and psychosomatic illness. Be willing to deal with the situation or person directly. 

When we force ourselves to face ANY fear-inducing situation in our LIVES ,self-esteem goes up, self-respect increases, and our sense of personal pride grows. Eventually you ll reach the point in life where you are not afraid of anything.(except spiders of course)!!
